Last weekend for 2013

2013 is coming to an end...
Had a very fabulous December this year.

The fiance is around for the festive season, and I definitely am overjoyed!
Christmas eve was spent going to sim lim(to get stuff for his bro's computer), and headed to marina bay sands(again) to collect my cartier watch which I sent for repair. It's a super old watch which my mum bought it in her 20s, and after she gave birth, she didn't wear it, and now she decided to pass it to me. So, I got it repair so I can wear it! :)
The repair + new strap costs SGD600. Repair:SGD290, Strap: SGD310.
It is not cheap, but the transformation from old --> new is very very amazing! (no photos taken, cause it totally slipped my mind to take the before repair photo) hehe.
Thanks my beloved fiance for paying for me! Truly appreciated. ^^

After which, we headed for some ice cream treat at haagen daz!

 

Feeling so so blessed that he is around for X'mas this year! Festive season will never be the same without you.

Ordered to share as we are still full from our dinner.

X'mas day itself was spent lazing at le fiance's house! Then headed to dinner at Parkway Parade before heading home. hehe!

That sums up our simple x'mas we had this year. And, we are happy just like that! :D

The last weekend for 2013 was well spent with fiance as well.
Stayed over for the weekend at his crib.
We had a super impromptu decision to head to Chinatown when we are at the bus stop waiting for bus to bedok point/mall for dinner and walk about.
Boyfriend randomly suggested we take CT18 if it is still in operations, and ta-dah! It really came, and he said he super long never go Chinatown liao... So, we quickly went opposite(cause we are at the direction that all buses are heading to bedok interchange) to take the bus down to Chinatown.
Alighted. Walked around. Dinner at the food center at Chinatown. Walked around. Took bus back.

The next day see us lazing around again till dinner time, before we head out for food. Decided on east coast big splash - Brussels Sprouts.
Luckily we reached early, and there's still outside seating available for us(can see the sea from far...) ^^
However, photos are not well taken due to the poor lighting! :(
Is either I change my phone to better phone(but I super like keypad phone... that's why I am stuck on my 2nd blackberry phone till now... or I bring my camera out everywhere I go next time...

 

While waiting for food... But since we are seated outside, the lighting is super badddd! :(

 We ordered fish&chip with some German beer on the batter, portobello grilles to share. Super yummy that we would definitely go back again next time.

Yes. We wiped out the plates clean!!! Very satisfied with the food!

I totally gave up taking photos after this... due to the super poor lighting outside! and, I didn't on flash because #1: fiance eyes will hurt if he sees flash, and #2 blackberry flash is super irritating!! :(


Can't wait to spend the last day of 2013 and first day of 2014 with fiance!
Gotta be gooood~

Lonely Sunday

Gonna be a lonely Sunday for me today. :(
The fiance had went to work in the morning at 6-ish.
Hopefully it's just a 2-3 days job and he will be back before Christmas!*prays and hope*

Feels so weird not seeing him on a Sunday...
He's been based to work locally for around 6months already.
Thus, have been spending quality time with him every weekend, whenever possible.
Our lazing moments together on bed till late before we gets up for brunch/lunch and then goes back to laze again after our brunch/lunch(if we are just going down to the nearby food market to eat)...
I often said to him, "Baby, you keep sleep and sleep...." Then he will reply me: "Sunday = lazy day. Meant to sleep and sleep one." Ok lorr.... *Wins* ... 

Anyway, made breakfast(Half-boiled egg, milk tea, and croissant bought from Giant yesterday! ) for him today before he goes to western anchorage for his job on L.champion.
Fell in love with the milk tea! Find it not too sweet and milky for my liking! *Thumbs up*
Searched almost all supermarket(Ntuc, cold storage, giant) but didn't see this brand. :( 

Can't wait for our humble little home so it will be easier for both of us... (without having to come to and fro bedok and sengkang)
Yes! Speaking of that. Our appointment to select a hdb unit will be on 6th Jan 2014!
Hopefully everything goes smoothly, then we will have to wait again till probably end 2018 to get possession of keys. So that means another 5more years before we can have a place to call our home!
yesss... it's stillll a longggggg way to go.. :(

The Proposal Ring

Finally got some time and feel to blog... :)

Been busy as December always spell P-A-R-T-Y.

So... anyway, I got news from le boyf. that he bought the proposal ring already in around September/October?
All I know at that time was the brand he bought.
Everything else (the design, carat, price) was kept a secret...
I was very very curious. I swear. He tempted me many times to see the receipt. (He just want to disturb me as he knew my heart damn itchy... asshole right, I know...) Luckily I am able to hold back my curiosity...

After probably 1 month plus of waiting, finally the ring reached Singapore safely. haha
Thanks to my small finger, they had to specially shipped in the particular ring size as they do not have it at their store.

Anyway, I was a little displeased with their service..
As first time they called to say that the ring has arrived... We went to collect, but .... Wrong carat shipped in... *wth! In my point of view, not acceptable from such a reputable brand.
Then had to wait another few weeks again..
Thankfully, the second one is correct. Else..... I would condemn the brand already.

He proposed on 24th November 2013, thank goodness I didn't have to wait long to meet my new 'baby'.
Here goes the ringg............... *behold*

 Yes! It's from Cartier! My first most expensive jewellery so far!
Am so so happy that no words can describe it!

Yes I know that we are paying so much for the brand, because with that amount we paid for this...
I think we can get at least a 1.0 carat one from normal jewellery shop...
(Yes, whenever we walked pass any jewellery shop to check out their ring... We always sighed at the price ...) 
But oh wells..... I will treasure what I have, and not ask for more...
I know you are not rich at all ... But thank you piggybaby for buying me such an expensive ring, and providing for me now! I truly appreciate everything you given me!! <3

We are still in the midst of discussing when our wedding will be thou!
Will wait till our first hdb appointment on 6th Jan 2014 before confirming the year and date!
Cross finger, pray hard that we can get hold of a unit!
Heh! We got Q no. 95 out of 400+ units of 5-room flats supplied.
It's not about the Q no. , it's more about the income ceiling which we are afraid of...
Let's just pray hard!

The Proposal (24th Nov 2013)

Woooooohoooooooo~
As you've guessed from the title... Yes!! The boyfriend proposed!!!
It's been 3 days, and I still can't believe and accept the fact, and that I am going to get married soon.
It's all happening way too fast! (When he haven't proposed, I kept thinking why he so slow one.. I'm waiting and going crazy liao... Then when he proposed, I just wish time could slow downnnnnn.. Contradicting eh? oh wells....)

So.... The boyfriend proposed on 24th November 2013, 3am at W hotel Sentosa Cove.
(Beware.. It's gonna be a damn wordy post, as now I still can remember everything so vividly... I better document it down, so I can re-read again in the future. Or perhaps he can read also.. Cause I am 101% sure he will somehow forget bits and pieces of it...)

It wasn't a planned proposal at all, he didn't spent months or weeks or even days planning for this... It all happened in that short few hours~! :D
Our thoughts of going W hotel is because his work friend, Shawn, had booked a room there with his family for a 1-day staycation. And, he invited us over. At first, we didn't want to go as #1: I'm shy, and #2: He's tired from work. But after much consideration and all, we decided to go as he always wanted to bring me to meet his friends.
Btw, it's my first time ever meeting his work friend- Shawn and Shane, and their wives and child!

We went down to W hotel together at 8pm, as both boyfriend and Shawn went to their friend's(Brandon) house-warming earlier on.
We reached, explored the area and room...
We didn't have the thought of booking a room at all, we just wanted to go chill and chat with his friends, and later help Shawn to drive the car back. ^^
The guys went down to the lobby(as Shane had booked a room on the spot too~) and to smoke as well, and the ladies just stayed in the room to relax...
[I seriously don't know how he got psycho-ed to book a room. Also don't know who instigate it one sia..]
We ladies were still discussing if Yikai(my boyf.) will book a room anot. And, I still can confidently tell them he won't get psycho so easily one...
When the guys are back, his friend's words really surprised me 'Yikai also booked a room in the end...'
WOW?!!! I was so surprised yet happy that I kept asking him, 'really meh? I thought you won't booked leh. Why waste money?? etc etc'

Shortly after, the guys went out to packet supper back. They mentioned that they wanna go to bedok 85 to packet the ba chor mee. As Christy(who's pregnant wanted ba chor mee).. Ok, at the moment I'm like wahh lao, go until 85 packet supper then like that we can go home also.. Better than spending that money to stay 1 night. The guys left to packet supper and to buy some alcohol....

<I didn't think much or feel there's anything not right at the moment>

Then, text him, and he said he's at 85.. Initially, I wanted to test him if he will auto go back home to take my facial wash for me anot, since he is so near home!!!(I doubt he will la, he is those that can don't bother jiu don't bother one) But... knowing the character of my boyfriend. I make sure I told him to go back home and take my facial cleanser and moisturizer for me, as I feel if I don't use I will have terrible breakouts the next day.

<Didn't even thought that he did take the ring too!!!!!! Like, seriously?!!!>

Then they are back with supper and drinks..!
 We ate, chilled, talked at the balcony until close to 2am... And headed back to our room.

Bathed, and wanted to go sleep already.. as it's already so late...
(It's indeed a very atas hotel, even their toiletries using Bliss! Heard from Jennis it's quite ex, retailing at Sephora. Toilet is super huge! A bathtub, separate toilet and shower area. Been so MBS hotel before, I think it is comparable, but the toiletries I would say W hotel wins!)
Lay on bed, watched tv for a bit...

Then he randomly asked me: So, how u find this place?
I replied: Ok ah.. Not too bad. Classy.
He said: Then how if I proposed now?
I replied: Errr........... Ok lor, memorable lor. It's at Sentosa Cove leh, both our first time here... It's like we will not come back ever again to stay de lor... Somemore such an atas hotel, then tomorrow wake up got beautiful view... Like not bad leh. Cool.. I continue saying: You will propose now meh?! You where got the ring??!
Then he took his ring(our couple ring which we are wearing now), and put it onto my fourth finger.
I ji tao... haiyo~ hahahahaa 
Then he hug me and kept looking into my eyes like for very longg lor. (which is not the usual him! Normally also don't bother to stare into my eyes for longgg one!)
So, I asked him: Why you keep looking to my eyes? something is not right. You normally also won't even bother looking into my eyes like that at all!
Then he said: Why? Cannot ah? I just want to look at you mah.
The next moment.....
He popped the question: Will you marry me?
-I was shocked and stunned- But still thought he's joking or like he's practicing his proposal speech for next time. hahaha!

Then he asked again: Will you marry me?
I replied: Yes. (Quickly turned to him, gave me a kiss...)
Then he took out the (real) proposal ring, I gave him my hands, then he slipped the ring in!

So, we are officially fiancee and fiance! :D

It really caught me by surprise as I really didn't thought he would have went back and took the ring, and proposed on this date. Never ever crossed my mind, and I didn't find anything fishy/suspicious at all~

I did asked him how come he will propose to me so sudden leh? haha
Then he told me, his friends helped him to plan and all...
And actually, he didn't booked the room yet, just reserve first, then he came back to say he booked a room and see what's my reaction. Then he mentioned, when he saw that I'm so happy and surprised, then at that point then he go and booked the room. OMG! Like wth?!! Earlier know, I act angry and sad cause he anyhow waste money! haha! (But, which normal girl won't feel happy/excited/over the moon when the man had already booked a room on the spot sia.)
&they purposely go 85 to packet supper, just so he can go back and take the ring. HAHAHA! Aiyo, trouble them .. So pai seh..
Then he told me, actually he wanted to propose when his friends are around de(when we are all chilling and eating at the balcony). His friend Shawn did hint a few times to him to faster take out the ring to propose, like playing love songs etc... Then again, he dropped the idea, cause #1: I will be very pai seh, and #2: all his friends didn't propose to their wives, so not a good idea to propose in front of them. haha! Phew~

Even with those small little actions/hints, I still didn't thought so much and didn't even expected anything.
Oh wells...

Luckily, it's over and I'm happy that we are finally having a new chapter to our 8 longg years of dating... :D I am now 'Half a Mrs Fong' now. HAHAHA!
8 years of dating have brought us to another status of fiance/fiancee. More things to settle and plan, more liability.
With you, I believe we can walk through everything together.

Pardon us in the hotel's robe, as he went back home but he didn't even bring any extra sets of clothes here!!!! WTH!! *PULLS HAIR!* (See! I told you, he can don't bother jiu don't bother one...)
So.. both of us just have to sleep in the robe for the night. LOL!

Woke up the next morning for breakfast together with everyone...
& The moment I got up from bed, the first thing I do is to draw open the curtain to such a beautiful view! So serene.

A little about myself

Woah, it's been almost years since I last blogged. I've created blogs on almost all blogging platform like wordpress/livejournal/tumblr, and all are filled with spider webs already. (although I still blog occasionally at my livejournal domain; most post are private as it's a platform for me to vent my anger if it's too much for me to take it, and some random post about relationships are open to public to view too! )

Purpose of creating this blog is because I've finally started my online business(Dainries Closet), and hope this acts as an alternative platform for people to get to know Dainries Closet as well as the owner behind this humble little blogshop. I've been contemplating for the longest time ever(almost 1 year) to get it started, because I know once I start, I must set my heart to it and do it up properly.
I know I will have to slowly give up my time that I used to surf the net/play games to do something more constructive.(yeah, I used to wake up with no goal or nothing planned for the rest of the day, except some days I will just spring clean the whole house. Else, I will be sitting in front of my com surfing and gaming. I mean, everyone is either busy studying/working, who would entertain a free bird like me on weekdays morning/noon right? But amazingly, I can survive such lifestyle for 1 year. Applause to me please. haha.)
Thus, the idea of starting my own online blogshop after I've resigned from my first-ever full time job.

After much preparations and sourcing, I will be managing Dainries Closet alone, and if I'm lucky, I might get a little help from the boyfriend on and off. It's really not easy as what I thought it would be, there's so much more to do. But still, I am truly happy that this is happening right in front of my eyes.
For the start, I will be selling mainly accessories(earrings/rings/bracelets/pouches/etc). There are some handmade ones, so do keep a lookout for it! :)
I need more motivation and determination to do this business! jiayou jiayou~
